FARMERS MARKET - EVERY WEDNESDAY AT THE VOLUSIA COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS - 6:00 A.M. - 12 NOON

6 13th Annual Albert D. Downs WILD GAME FEAST - SOLD OUT! – The Wild Game Feast features a continuous sampling of exotic food delicacies, along with music, door prizes & raffles. It's a chance to sample such items as rattlesnake, venison, 'gator tail, frog legs, catfish fingerlings, wild turkey, pulling pig, swamp cabbage and many more old traditional florida foods. Tickets are limited and will be available to the public one month in advance. Tickets will be available in APRIL at QUALITY QUICKPRINT, North Amelia Avenue, near Int'l Speedway Blvd, DeLand. 7-8 Annual TRASH & TREASURE SALE – Someone else's trash is another man's treasure. Find a treasure at this annual fundraiser. 7-23 Musical: "PUMP BOYS & DINETTES" – The pump boys sell high octane on Hwy 57 and the dinettes, Prudie and Rhetta Cupp, run the Double Cupp diner next door. Together they fashion a musical tribute to life by the roadside featuring 19 songs! 8 Old Fashioned NEIGHBOR DAY CELEBRATION – The annual "Neighbor Day" will be fun, food and entertainment. Enjoy the old-time sounds of new-time music with "Mullet Run" and the soothing music of keyboard artist, Dave Dornbach. On the auction block will be specialty picnic lunches. Show your sweetie how special she is by bidding on her delicious boxed lunch or homemade pies and desserts, plus food certificates from the area's finest restaurants. 9 MOTHERS' DAY – Orange City, Honoring all mothers!

9-6/9 PIONEER SETTLEMENT CLASSES – PAINTING with Brenda Star (watercolor, oils, acrylics). Brenda is a well-known area artists who designed the pencil drawing of the school building framed in wood. Students need to bring their own paints and supplies regardless of what type of paint. Register early to hold space. 15 Lake Woodruff National Wildlife Refuge: The VOLUSIA TRACT OVERVIEW NATURE WALK – Guides Kristina Sorensen and Mike Ward will lead a Spring hike through the Volusia Tract section of the Refuge. It's a great time of the year to spot wildlife visitors like the Swallow-tailed Kite, as well as year-round residents that call the Refuge 'home.' Wear comfortable shoes & bring water & bug spray.
